Edible Safflower Oil is the fully refined, bleached and deodorized vegetable oil obtained from the seeds of Carthamus Tinctorius, the safflower plant.

Our company wholesales edible safflower oil, as well as other oils and fats, since 1838. We are FDA registered, USP NF certified and c GMP certified.

It contains more poly-unsaturated acids than any other vegetable oil, and it has a high smoke point. The safflower oil is hydrating to the skin and consists of linoleic acid triglycerides. The chief interest in Edible Safflower Oil lies in the fact that it contains about 75% Linoleic Acid, with total unsaturated acids of about 94%. A number of medical research organizations have reported that the principle ingredient of Edible Safflower Oil, Linoleic Glyceride, is beneficial in controlling or perhaps preventing arteriosclerosis.

Research is showing that the field of heart artery disease warrants optimism. It recently demonstrated that the feeding of fats with high unsaturated fatty acid content can reduce the amount of Cholesterol in the human blood stream. The major centers of activity have been the Rockefeller Medical Research Center in New York; the Harvard University School of Medicine; University of Minnesota School of Medicine; University of California Medical Center in San Francisco, and the Institute of Metabolic Research in Oakland.
